Stitch House opened in 2018 on Market Street in Wilmington, smack dab in the middle of the historic district. Our friend and local restaurant owner Dan Sheridan is part owner of the concept, and hired us to help him design menu boards for both the sandwiches and the draft beers. The whole space has a very industrial feel – over the years, the building had housed a linen mart/tailor shop followed by a coal and ice house, and Dan and his partners utilized the “bones” of the building beautifully. It was the first time we had incorporated iron/steel into larger pieces, and we loved how they turned out so much that we used the same concept for some menu boards down at Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth a few months later. This is definitely one of our favorite projects because we had to think outside of our usual wheelhouse to come up with the perfect design.
